V250: Here We Go!

Woah.

Things suddenly started moving quickly yesterday, as I went from V215 (order internally locked by Porsche) to V220 (Vehicle selected for production) yesterday, to V250 (Vehicle fixed -Order has locked) today, complete with an actual VIN number.

This is all ahead of schedule by about two weeks, so it's not inconceivable that my car could be built by this time next week, and sitting up in Leipzig next to Andrew's (already completed) Cayman in two weeks time, ahead of the originally scheduled production completion of June 1.

Of course, given all the waiting and hiccups to date, I shall reserve final judgement until I see those wonderful production photos via TYD, but it's all getting more and more real with every milestone passed.

Lots to do in the meantime, keeping us busy (and therefore not thinking too obsessively about the impending build). We've another camera training session coming up with the crew this weekend, and I'm assembling my gear into a single package for 'fit testing' with W's Cayman to make sure we can carry all the gear we need.

Looks like we both have lines on people to buy our existing cars, which will be a relief when that's off our respective plates, and then really the focus is on prepping for that rapidly approaching July 18 date when it's time to board the plane and head to Europe. Somewhere in between there I hope to fit in a trip to NB to maintain the family subterfuge.

It's ramping up!
