Radio Silence / Managing Emotions
Why? For one simple reason and one simple reason alone: the last couple of months of communications with Christina the Salesperson have been very different. She stopped being the salesperson who immediately responds to our emails practically instantly, to being someone who hardly responds at all, only when pressed. Something has definitely changed and we are not sure what it is. The positive spin we can put on it is it's like she's trying to have a better work/life balance or whatever, but then there are also negative thoughts that she's distancing herself from us because she has no good news to give...or worse, that somehow we have become unwanted customers and that she's been somehow directed to not spend time attending to us.
The frustrating thing for me is that she is a large user of Instagram with lots of followers and she posts multiple times a day, often lots and lots of Porsche-related posts, pictures of her on the track with her new 911, and so on and so forth. And yet, zero response about our Instagram feed. Which we had emailed her and specifically told her about and thought she might be interested in as well as asking if we could mention her in our feed. Nothing. Zip. Nada.
Unsettling to say the least. Hope she's OK.
It's good to keep in mind that a) we aren't her only clients and b) the dealership was just purchased by a larger automotive entity. So that could have positive or negative ramifications that are just out of our control. Anyway we are staying very positive and managing our own churn. Let's face it, there are clearly no allocations in Canada right now from everything that we've determined from the forums so there really is no news at all.
Oh well, we shall continue to pursue our Porsche line that hopefully will bear fruit, and we are also pondering a trip down to our dealer to look at them in the eyes, so to speak. We'd love to speak with the managers who apparently are the ones who make the final decisions about handing out allocations when they do finally get them.
