"The coordination and integration of the steering, suspension, and body dynamics is sublime. So natural, progressive, and predictable. A high-water mark in sports-car tuning."

Keeping ourselves busy, we are getting our GTS Chronicles Instagram account ready.

The server has been repatriated to Andrew's place and is up and running with a proper domain name (gtschronicles.com).

We realized that one of the big parts of the story is the New Brunswick reveal idea, so we need to keep things hush-hush from my parents since they are at the core of the surprise. Essentially when Andrew picked up his car from European delivery in 2017 in Halifax, he visited my folks for an evening with his new ride. They marvelled over it and he took a couple of photos.

I thought it would be cool to do the same thing again but this time showing up in a Porsche, just behind Andrew. He would arrive just like he did in his BMW and give them a few moments to ooh and ahh. Then with camera surreptitiously in hand, he would radio me to drive up in the Boxster. Cue the revelation for mum and dad.

I anticipate mum saying "I knew it!"

I think it's kind of a fitting thing to do though, given the link through my mum to my grandfather. He was a sports car guy, ran a Lotus dealership in England after the war. Mum learned to drive when she was seven at Oulton Park raceway in the UK. So there's always been something there in the genes I think. Mum's often said how nice it would've been for my grandpa to be part of my car life, so this perhaps, in some small way, is a connection to him. I know it'll feel special to her too. And of course there's the connection to the rallying that they did in Malta too - something that I've always thought was extremely cool. Would that there were such activities around here, as I could very much see myself doing that kind of thing - not as a navigator though!
